After you collect your hire car, get onto the motorway, direction FUNCHAL for about 10 minutes and get off at exit no 15 signed to Camacha, turn right and go up the hill, then you will find a round-about (Cancela). Turn left signed to Funchal keeping the gas station on your left. At the junction keep to the right, ER204 Funchal, carry along this road and after 1km you will find the village on your right hand side up on the hillside.
